A simple present to the world to remind us of what Holy Week is really about. Amidst our vacation leaves, beach, family time, off from work and school, lets bear in mind the reason why we have these holidays and experience such. This is the only time of the year where we are given an opportunity to do this - even Legally - to recollect all aspects of our lives, to reconnect to anyone and that ONE whom we've lost touch, and of course FIX ourselves. Holy Week, a annual check-up of our soul.

Have a beautiful and fulfilling Holy Week!

Everybody has their own wounds and hurts, none of us are free from this. Some get healed through medicine and solutions while some we tend to forget. However, there are those those that just lie there inside of us...waiting..sinking..blocking...

It's already the start of the Holy Week. Let's take this opportunity to recollect ourselves and reconnect with the one true source of healing...God.

Brian played for his school’s football team. You could not say that he was their star player, but he gave his best and so he stayed. It was the last football game of his senior year and a message came that his father had died.
When the coach found out, he decided to tell Brian before the game, knowing he probably would elect not to participate. But instead of reacting sorrowfully, Brian just took it all in stride and said, “I’ll leave  right after the game”.

The coach had seen Brian and his father together a couple of times in the past years. There was no doubt that Brian loved his dad and both of them exhibited an unusual kind of intimacy. They would be seen walking around the campus holding hands.
The coach had heard Brian speak highly of his father and expected him to grieve. When he didn’t, the coach said, “Brian, you don’t have to play. This game isn’t that important anyway.” Brian ignored him and played the game anyway. And play he did! Brian was the star, winning the game like a man possessed.

In the locker room, some of the players offered condolences, but most were appalled at his lack of sorrow. Brian was casual and happy, as if nothing had gone wrong. The coach was mad and thought he had taught too much devotion to sports and not enough compassion.
He scolded Brian, “Why did you play the game? Your father is dead. I’m ashamed of you and myself.”
Brian replied, “Coach, this was our last game. I am a senior. I had to play. This was the firs time my dad has never seen me play and I had to play like I never played before.”
“But your father’s dead, “ The coach replied.
Brian choked back the tears and smiled at the coach. “I guess you didn’t know. My father was blind, and today, he saw me play for the first time.”

Give life's game your best shot! Our father is watching us play...everytime...

Time out! Give yourself a break and try to see if you have any of these...

Okay, so what's the difference between dining in hell and dining in heaven?

A man named Mario died and he descended to hell, where he saw souls seated before a banquet table of unimaginable beauty.

However, a long spoon was strapped to each person’s wrist, so long that he or she was unable to bring the delicacies to his or her own mouth. Their hunger torturous and good food unreachable, made them full of frustration and rage.

Looking up at heaven, Carlos found the same set-up, except that everyone was radiantly happy; for the people were using the long spoons to feed each other

Well, it has something to do with the type of people!

I don’t believe in prayer if…

Prayer is JUST a magic charm. But that’s how some people pray. They pray….only so they’ll be safe when they go on vacation. Only so their day will go smoothly. Only so their family will stay happy and healthy. Only so they will get the lucky breaks. I don’t believe in that kind of prayer…

I don’t believe in prayer if…

Prayer is JUST a way to “place my order” with God. But that’s how some people pray. They pray only because they’d like to have something they don’t have. Only because they’d rather not have something they do have. Only because someone is bugging them and they need to have God straighten that person out. Only because they don’t want to have to go through the hard times. I don’t believe in that kind of prayer.

I don’t believe in prayer if…

Prayer is JUST a tranquilizer. But that’s how some people pray. They pray… only because they feel so much better when they do. Only because they’re more relaxed and at peace with the world when they pray. Only because they’re easier to be around when they pray and they want people to like being around them. I don’t believe in that kind of prayer.

I don’t believe in prayer if it’s only a matter of what I can get from God.

BUT I DO BELIEVE IN PRAYER IF….

Prayer is a conversation with someone I love. And that’s just how some people pray. They pray…they want to show God how much they love HIM (and spending time with Him is a way to show Him). Because they want to tell God how wonderful they think He is. Because they want to let God know how they’re feeling and what they need him to do for them and for others. Because they want to say thank you to God. Because they want to say, “Im sorry.”

I DO BELIEVE IN PRAYER IF….

Prayer is a window that lets me see into God’s heart. (This does not mean I will always understand what He’s doing, but I will understand the kind of God He is – that He is loving and kind, for example.) And that’s just how some people pray. They pray… so they can listen to God. So they know what He wants them to do. So they learn what to ask for and what not to ask for. So they understand Him better.

I DO BELIEVE IN PRAYER…. Prayer is a matter of what I can give to God – my love, my admiration, and my trust.

Now, tell me, which prayer do you pray?
